I’ve lost track of how many times I listened to a song from the past with my neck-loop, convinced I was listening to a completely different song. The songs sound nothing like I remember. I wonder how much of the sound difference is attributed to analog vs. digital hearing aid.
Music to me either sounds good, or meh. I don’t FEEL the corresponding emotions music attempts to convey. I can’t remember the last time I felt goosebumps from listening to music. I hear the highs and lows of a musical composition / song, but without accompanying video / picture(s), there is no context for me to grasp its meaning.
Taylor Swift re-recorded Fearless. Does that mean Taylor sings in a different key? Changed the lyrics? How much change is required to avoid plagiarizing the master recording?
David Gilmour’s Comfortably Numb solo is consistently ranked the best solo of all time. Why? Who decides?
